PCBA is the process of SMT loading on an empty PCB board, followed by DIP plug-in production. It involves many delicate and complex process flows and sensitive components. If the operation is not standardized, it can cause process defects or component damage, affecting product quality and increasing processing costs. Therefore, in the process of PCBA SMT processing, it is necessary to comply with relevant operating rules and strictly follow the requirements for operation.
Operating rules for PCBA chip placement processing:
1. There should be no food or beverages in the PCBA work area, smoking is prohibited, and unrelated debris should not be placed. The workbench should be kept clean and tidy.
2. The surface of the PCBA patch that has been welded should not be taken with bare hands or fingers, as the grease secreted by human hands can reduce solderability and easily lead to welding defects.
3. Reduce the operation steps of PCBA and components to the minimum to prevent danger. In assembly areas where gloves must be used, dirty gloves can cause contamination, so gloves need to be replaced frequently if necessary.
4. Do not use oil that protects the skin to apply to hands or various detergents containing silicone resin, as they can cause problems with solderability and adhesion performance of the conformal coating. There are specially formulated detergents for PCBA welding surfaces available for use.
5. Components and PCBA that are sensitive to EOS/ESD must be identified with appropriate EOS/ESD markings to avoid confusion with other components. In addition, to prevent ESD and EOS from endangering sensitive components, all operations, assembly, and testing must be completed on a workbench that can control static electricity.
6. Regularly inspect the EOS/ESD workbench to confirm that they are functioning properly (anti static). The various hazards of EOS/ESD components can be caused by incorrect grounding methods or the presence of oxides in the grounding connection. Therefore, special protection should be given to the joints of the "third line" grounding terminal.
7. It is prohibited to stack PCBA as it may cause physical damage. The assembly work surface should be equipped with dedicated various brackets, which should be placed according to the type.
In the manufacturing of PCBA SMT processing, strict adherence to these operating rules and correct operation are necessary to ensure the final quality of the product, reduce component damage, and reduce costs.
