A countersink hole is a blind hole machined from the surface of an object into its interior, which commonly used for installing bolts or other connecting components.

This resolves the problem where round holes cannot snugly accommodate the screw head, while the countersink effectively provides a snug fit for the screw's countersunk portion, ensuring that the countersink screw fits securely into the countersink and protects the surface of the circuit board
