Buried PCBs
Is there confusion point between "blind hole" and "buried hole" in PCB, so I looked up some information about PCB to study and clarify the "vias" on PCB.
A via is a conductive hole used to link two PCB layers. Through-hole vias, blind via, and buried via are the three different types of via. All layers of the PCB are connected by a through-hole via, whereas some layers are only connected via blind via. A buried via is a via that does not extend to the surface but connects the PCB's internal layers. In order to increase the density of interconnections on a PCB, blind vias and buried via are frequently used.Buried vias are drilled between the PCB's internal layers, in contrast to the blind via, which only extends to a certain depth from the surface. It is crucial to understand that using blind and buried vias can make the PCB manufacturing process more difficult and expensive. Based on the particular requirements of the PCB application, the design and implementation of these vias should be carefully thought out. A hole that is actually buried in the inner layer of the PCB but cannot be seen from the board's appearance is referred to as a "buried hole."
