Double Sided Circuits

  The most popular printed circuit boards in the PCB family are double-sided boards. They consist of two conductive layers (double sided layer) with a top and bottom layer of solder mask insulation. Standard thicknesses typically range from 0.031" to 0.125". These boards are widely used in various electronic applications, including user interface boards and control boards.
 

  Double-sided circuits offer the versatility to connect various components, and their signal traces can carry current at speeds ranging from a few milliamps to several amps.
 

  Why is difference between double-sided PCB and single-sided?
  

  The double sided circuits, are a top and bottom layer on a flat board, agnist the single layer PCBs inculding only one layer. In order for the traces to cross over one another, double sided circuits can mount conductive copper and components on both sides of the printed circuit board. As a result, there are more boards with higher densities without the need for point-to-point soldering. Due to their greater complexity compared to single-sided PCBs, it is challenging to fabricate double sided ones. However, using double sided circuits is preferable to using a single side boards
